Automatic deal syncing with DSPs
Overview
New deals created in Equativ’s Monetization Platform (EMP) are synchronized automatically with some of Equativ’s partner DSPs. Likewise, updates to parameters in running deals are also synchronized (with some exceptions, as explained below).
Synchronization with DV360
The following Equativ deal types are synchronized automatically with DV360:
- Equativ Auction Packages
- Preferred Deals
- Programmatic Guaranteed deals
- Private auctions
Buyers only need to accept them in Inventory > Negotiations. There is no need for buyers to manually add Deal IDs or Auction Package IDs to their campaigns or line items.
However, manual configuration is required if the deal is not available in the Negotiations tab. Reach out to Equativ support in these cases or in case of any other issue. To accept a new deal, go to Inventory > Negotiations and search for it by Deal ID:

Once found, accept the deal as shown in this screenshot:

Updates to running deals are limited to the following parameters (updates to other parameters are not synchronized automatically):
- Deal name
- Buyers; ⚠️ Warning: synchronization of updates to buyers is additive; for instance, if you remove buyer A from a running deal in EMP and add a new buyer B, the buyer B will be shown in EMP as expected; however, once synchronized, the deal will have buyer A and B in DV360. To accept the deal, you will need the appropriate rights for buyer A and buyer B - otherwise, the deal will be blocked.
- Start time
- End time (with some limitations, see DV360 Seller API for more details)
- Floor price
- Currency
- Volume and Creative configuration (type video/display, sizes, duration, skippable), in RTB insertions associated with programmatic guaranteed deals only!
Synchronization with Xandr
New Equativ Auction Packages, Preferred Deals and Private Auctions are synchronized automatically with Xandr. However, updates are not synchronized:
- you can update targeting settings in Equativ's Buyer Connect platform, but the deal name and pricing information will not be updated on Xandr
- if you targeted the wrong buyer seat, you must create a new deal targeting the correct buyer seat
Deals with more than one buyer seat are not synchronized. In Equativ's Monetization / Buyer Connect platforms, make sure you create dedicated deals, each targeting a single buyer seat.
Synchronization with The Trade Desk
The automatic synchronization of deals with The Trade Desk is fully supported: all newly created deals as well as updates are sent automatically to the buyer seat specified in the deal. Synchronized deals appear in the Targeting tab inside the Private Contract, where the buyer can assign one or multiple deals to line items.
For programmatic guaranteed deals, the partners usually require specific start/end dates or other fixed parameters. This information is defined at insertion level. When synchronizing a programmatic guaranteed deal, the parameters of the first insertion associated with the programmatic guaranteed deal are taken into account. Insertion parameters include start/end date, sizes, and other parameters.
Synchronization with Amazon DSP
The following table contains the EMP deal types that are synched automatically with Amazon DSP and the corresponding deal types and associated price types in Amazon DSP.
| Equativ deal type | Amazon DSP deal type | Amazon DSP price type |
|---|---|---|
| Private auction | Private auction | Floor rate |
| Preferred deal | Preferred | Fixed CPM |
Automatic synchronization isn't supported for Amazon Programmatic Guaranteed deals and Amazon Marketplace deals.
The following table summarizes how Equativ ad types map to Amazon DSP's ad formats (an Equativ ad type is a combination of an Equativ impression type and an Equativ environment):
| Equativ impression type | Equativ environment | Amazon DSP ad format |
|---|---|---|
| Banner and/or Native | App | Mobile display |
| Banner and/or Native | Web and/or Mobile web | Standard display |
| In-stream video and/or Out-stream video | Any | Video |
| Any other combination of impression type and environment | Standard display (fallback) | |
The following limitations apply to the automatic synchronization with Amazon DSP:
- Start date immutable: Once a deal has started or ended, its start date/time cannot be modified. Any change to the start date/time in Monetization is rejected for active or expired deals. A 1-minute tolerance is applied to handle clock drift.
- Unsupported currencies: Amazon DSP doesn't support the following currencies, leading to synchronization failure if used in an Equativ deal: ARS, CHF, CLP, COP, CZK, EGP, HKD, HRK, HUF, IDR, ILS, KRW, MAD, MYR, PEN, PLN, RUB, THB, TWD, UAH, ZAR.
- Zero-price deals: While Equativ allows €0.00 CPM, Amazon requires a minimum of 1 milliCent. Zero-price deals are automatically corrected to 1 milliCent during synchronization.
- Buyer seat limit: A deal can't have more than 1 buyer seat entry.
